- March 18, 2017: Chilufiya Safaa will discuss “Writing the International and Multicultural Romance.”
- As a Romance novelist, Chilufiya Safaa’s books put a fresh twist on African and African American love themes and allow readers to examine what they thought they knew about African and African American people. Safaa’s six novels all point to the beauty and the complexity of Africans throughout the Diaspora. It is her hope that in this increasingly global community in which we live, the Multicultural Romance Novel will help to broaden views and begin courageous conversations that speak to the importance of the Multicultural Romance Novel in the contemporary marketplace.
